Hauʻāina Volunteer Day at Puʻuwaʻawaʻa

The day will begin at 8:15 a.m. at Hauʻāina check-in station and end by 3:30 p.m.

8:15   Meet at Hiker Check-in: Introduction to Place
8:30   Head to Hauʻāina
8:45   Work orientation. Hana!! 
12:00  Optional Potluck Lunch.
If you would like to participate, please bring a dish to share for our family-style potluck. Plates, silverware, etc. will be provided.

12:45  Continue to hand-weed or trail building, depending on our progress. 
3:00 pm   Pau hana, put away all tools
3:30 pm   A hui hou kākou! 

WHAT
We will be hand-weeding in our Hauʻāina enclosure. The rain as of late has caused many weeds to grow and out-compete are native out-planting areas. We will be hand weeding around the natives, and potentially trail building, depending on our progress.

**Terrain is uneven with over grown vegetation. Weather can be hot and sunny or cold and rainy. The last bathroom stop will be at the hiker check-in**

Work is EXHILARATING and REWARDING!!!
