Welina mai kakou, Welcome!

Ala Kahakai Trail Association is a non-profit organization that provides community assistance for trail management and planning. ATA was created in 2006 and became a registered non-profit organization in 2008. ATA helps ensure that the Hawaiʻi Island trail system is well-connected to the community and that Hawaiian values and principles are in place and practiced. We work to foster various kinds of partnerships and help to guide the work of managing and sustaining the trail with consideration for the vision and goals of the diverse communities that the trails connect.

We invite you to learn more about us, the ancient and historic trails of Hawaiʻi, and how you can become involved.
